"Dancing With Dragons"
Dancing with dragons is dangerous.
Alliteration is too, of course, but that’s a different kind of danger.
With dragons, you don’t know what to expect.
One moment they’re docile and sweet,
And in the next they would tear you to pieces.
But dragons care.
If you somehow manage to earn a dragon’s love,
It will defend you to the very end.
Dragons don’t bother with “normal.”
No one tells a dragon what to do,
And you don’t want to be the one to try
And dragons don’t accept “no” as an answer.
If you stand in their way,
You get burned.
If a dragon’s angry, you’ll know.
People are soft but cruel.
They deal in shadows and lies.
I’d rather dance with dragons.
